Lotta big names here, myself included. And honestly the reason I ended up locking after a few people told me about it, otherwise, would just kept in lp. Guess if there's no way to earn on it, then I pull the locked back out when I can and go back to lp. I can't justify locking something with no incentive.

This was allowed, so people used it. The problem is that this is not the goal of degen, as Jacek has said many times: '$DEGEN tipping is about rewarding valuable content on Farcaster'. I understand that it's not easy to lock YOUR money to reward OTHERS. But it's clear that if you have skin in the game, you will receive a lot of tips too. If you want to receive your full allowance/reward, it is clear that you should put in LP, or sell and look for a new project.

that assumption that you will also get tipped if you have skin in the game is a fallacy fren. especially considering what "skin in the game" actually equated to being debatable. I have 1 MILLION locked, run my own community, engage with everyone doing their own thing, but I barely reach 10k received. My highest was like 92k back when people were claiming millions 🫣 whole experience has been a mess, some parts to blame being farcasters active/power badge... the rest beikn jacek moving the goal post every game, but still leaving it where farmers can reach no problem.

I speak from my own experience. I meant that you are more likely to receive tips. My content is the same since I joined here. My Season 8 points were 500 (I did not have allowance, not degen locked, not party). I am now receiving more tips... I wonder why you were banned? I see your name in the bans dune query.

I thought i was unbanned, now I'm re-banned? Two things I do with my tips A) Tip people engaging with me, or content that I like B) past two months Ive sent my brand account tips to use for what many other founders here (ie @ace with @pearl) have. Ended up locking that up, so I could tip out more. I'm assuming its B, but how fucked would that be considering other founders get to do it with no issue. God forbid uncle decides to finally take care of himself and his community, instead of just random farmers. A literal fucking joke, Ive been posting this whole time not even realizing im still banned... now im about to go off 🤣

fyi when @perl was active we talked to @jacek about using it as grant before since perl only can be played using $degen - you had to buy/use tip to play. and what i personally locked now is only for gtm, i only tip it to giveaway to research/event participants and not tip perl
