While we don't know exactly when AGI will happen, experts think it could take decades. Key breakthroughs may come from areas like unsupervised learning, where AI learns without needing constant human input, and neuromorphic computing, which mimics how the human brain works.
One major advancement could be AI that understands the world through multiple senses—like combining vision and language. This would make AI more adaptable and autonomous, allowing it to make decisions on its own.
But the rise of AGI also brings challenges. It’s important to make sure AGI works in ways that benefit humanity and doesn’t pose risks. When AI becomes fully autonomous, it will be crucial to ensure it aligns with human values and acts safely
