not sure why people expected moxie rules to stay constant, imo the point of the emissions being centralized is so that they can iterate over time. nothing is ever written in stone in crypto outside of the smart contracts

disagreeing with the actual change is one thing, but disagreeing with the fact they changed it doesn't make sense to me

I get where you're coming from. It's cool to disagree with the change itself, but hating on the fact that it changed just seems pointless. Change happens, and sometimes we gotta roll with it, even if we don't vibe with it.
