I don’t understand why maxis want bitcoin:
- to be like cash
- to be like gold
- to kill OP_CAT

All at the same time.
You can’t have everything.

I personally stick to #2 and I’m aware that I’ll never buy a coffee on L1 because that would mean poor UX, just like trying to kill a fly with an AK47 is poor UX.

Because the white paper is titled “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System”.

With its current attributes it’s better suited as a store of value than for daily transactions.

So do we concede the Bitcoin wasn’t perfect from the start? Or that BTC has deviated from the original vision? BTC maxis can’t.
