Imagine if every group chat had built in expense tracking Splitwise?

Then the need for payments becomes obvious.

Maybe payments is the wrong form factor for mass adoption?

Expense tracking is pull, payments is push.

I want to add expenses to a chat which creates an implicit request to settle up later. Maybe we're out for the weekend together, I don't want you to pay me every time we get a coffee, gas, lunch, etc.

I don’t think we’re far from being able to do this very easily. If Farcaster integrates xmtp for messaging and starts supporting frames directly in the chats, we’re one step closer. Bonus is other wallets like Coinbase are also on xmtp so you could possibly flip over there to pay if that’s your main wallet.
