Pilates is a system of physical exercises developed at the beginning of the 20th century by the American of German descent Hubertus Joseph Pilates (1880-1968). The main goals of the training: - restoring mobility and natural flexibility of the spine and joints, around which the elongated muscle is formed; - eliminating imbalances in the work of the stabilizer muscles and motor muscles by consistently including the core muscles in the work. Pilates gives flexibility and freedom of movement. The effect is achieved through regularity and correctness of the exercises. All exercises are done slowly, smoothly, require full concentration and control over the technique of their execution. 3 stages of Pilates: - think about the right movements; - practice the right movements; - automate movements (anagram of muscle memory).
