TIL about Tamagui, a React component library to create both native and web components. People on HN have really good things to say about it (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38406274), can't wait to give it a try. https://tamagui.dev/

Used it on a project, but haven't played with it for like 6+ months. Great potential; my issue was that the documentation was iffy in places and that package updates would break things due to all the 3rd party hooks.

This looks kinda cool, but since it's a fairly new framework, I'm wondering if it will continue to be maintained well into the future. Also, I see people on HN commented that it's difficult to set up with NextJS.

I have been working with tamagui a bit this year and would recommend. While it is not perfect the team has done a great job and imo has made the right trade offs with their approach to cross platform.
