Update:

Read a bunch of articles, watched a bunch of videos, used o1 and Cursor to make a project that uses a local llama model to autonomously work on your Github projects (RYO Devin basically).

The project implements a lot of the concepts I wanna learn about. Now I have to get this thing running and start reading through the code. I haven’t tested it yet. Gonna do that tomorrow and report back.

Woof, lost a lot of time trying due to an issue with Bun. TL;DR: Bun's implementation of Response.clone() is broken.

So after wasting a bunch of time figuring out why the project wouldn't start and having it be a runtime bug, I got it running.

Pointed it at a repo I own and it actually did something! It left a comment on an open issue being like, "Working on it". Unfortunately, it never pushed any code, and I can't see what it's doing because there's no logging. I did try to use Cursor Composer to generate this whole thing after all.

So, I'm gonna do what any reasonable person would do and try to write it by hand.

Having o1 and Cursor scaffold off this project, even though it doesn't seem to work, gave me a pretty good idea of all the things that need to happen, and I'm hoping I can knock it out pretty quickly.

I'm also still sick, so I can't really go anywhere right now. Might as well work on this 🤷‍♂️
