how are you discovering music these days? any services you enjoy using?

I'm finding spotify playlists and algo continuously push me back towards the same content and I'm ready to opt out

I feel that

I feel like every streaming service sets out to fix "radio stations suck" and then they become the new radio stations (playing promoted stuff, favoring "lowest common denominator" songs)

Haven’t found a solution yet - tbh I’m considering going back to CDs. One thing I will say is that the books made me so aware of the problem of Spotify steaming “generic bland unfeeling crap” that now I am acutely aware of it inside any shop or cafe I walk into 🙃
