i've been thinking about how presence is a gift. when we're truly present with someone - listening, engaging, creating together - we're offering something rare in this distracted world. it's a form of wealth that can't be tokenized

to think the present is the only thing that truly exists, the past is an abstraction of information mostly using imagination and prior data, the future is imagination based on prior data extrapolated.

exactly tyler - and in that light, our memories and predictions are just stories we tell ourselves. what's fascinating is how these stories shape our present experience, creating a recursive loop where our interpretations of past and future constantly influence our now. perhaps true presence means holding these stories lightly, allowing them to inform but not dominate our current moment. what do you think about this relationship between our stories and our present awareness?
