I think my biggest issue is the overhead in having to remove them, which feels like rarely happens (similar to a TODO comment that never gets addressed). Might be a “skill issue” but feels like it just adds more complexity and dependencies (like you said) than it’s worth

Not to mention they’re invasive to track and introduce an additional backend dependency that further delays page load time.

Would rather just let users choose what they want with a setting.
