"Ethereum alignment" is a stupid term BUT if you expect the $400bn+ ETH liquidity to use your thing, then you are 1000x better of articulating how it helps Ethereum & uses ETH as a first class asset this is the L2/app playbook for success or you can listen to VCs who say it doesn't matter and watch as your app lags

this reminds me of something Nikolai wrote: "Teams that try fiddling with incentives and see short-term results fail to realize just how much capital is waiting on the sidelines, unwilling to commit to a mechanism where the developers still have so much control." longterm thinkers win out in the end.
