Yes! Part of the reason I started in fashion design is because I wanted to create the clothes in my imagination, using the best materials, things that would be too expensive for me to buy. But I also love the artistic design and construction process :)

So true! Part of the problem is the consumer mindset that has gotten used to four seasons worth of new clothes every year. The wasteful industry standard has exhausted many of the most talented designers. It will be difficult to break free from this, but it has to change.

TY! It was! I really enjoyed working in leather. Especially these leathers, which were so rich and beautiful. Unfortunately for me now, the supplier is in upstate NY—I can’t get them here in Switzerland or I’d probably continue! Perhaps I’ll eventually find another source in Italy.
