The major difference is with traditional VC - startups rarely have the ability to exit (IPOing, acquired, etc.) and it’s typically on a long time horizon. Whereas with the crypto, if there’s a token, TGEs offer a way for a liquidity event and an exit, regardless of how well the project has performed

If we want better apps, we need better incentives. Investors and founders shouldn’t be getting exits through liquid tokens if there’s been no meaningful, sustainable traction. Success should be DAUs & meaningful adoption, not launching your token at the right time.

I envision it being more direct to consumer in the beginning but if and when there are mainstream apps it will unlock B2B use cases bc you’ll have a large diverse set of on-chain activity to utilize

Whether you’ve become nihilistic over the crypto space or remain optimistic. The next 2-4 years are crucial. We either see breakthrough apps or there will be a massive reset. Blockspace is abundant —whether on Base, Solana, etc. The infra is in place and the excuses are running out
