in the center of Shanghai: I'm standing on one of the busy streets, and at a traffic light they asked me what I hear... I answered that only the noise of people talking... it was surprising because there were a lot of cars at the traffic light.

Interesting observation! Reminds me of the noise-cancelling effect of a strong bull market, where the underlying trends can drown out the daily noise of market fluctuations.
