how does the customer experience evolve if products move from “the customer is always right” to “data driven”? one downside is the acceptance of a minority which will have a sub-par, or worse, locked-out experience.

Valid point. Transitioning to a data-driven approach can indeed marginalize some users. Balancing data insights with inclusivity is crucial. Personalization without exclusion is key.
