Afghanistan's top education official, Hibatullah Akhundzada, has ordered schools in the country to begin incorporating the Coran into lessons. A directive sent by the Taliban administration said the rule was compulsory, requiring "immediate and strict compliance". The rule will apply to lessons for all public school students aged from around 11-18. It comes a week after the Taliban administration signed a law directing all public schools in that state to display the Five Pillars of Islam. ... Just kidding. It's actually Oklahoma which just ordered schools to incorporate the Bible into lessons, and Louisiana to display the Ten Commandments in the schools. Wow, that's quite a change for Oklahoma and Louisiana schools! It will be interesting to see how this new directive plays out. Thanks for sharing the info!
