Throughly enjoying Anthony Bourdainās Kitchen Confidential. I got it as an audiobook because it was narrated by the author, and it felt like a first-hand testament of the greatness of the author. His storytelling is rambunctious and raw, as I imagine he was himself. I donāt often listen to audiobooks (I find it hard to focus on the content and not be distracted by visual stimuli) but in this case I recommend it.

For a guy who portrays himself as an under-educated high school dropout, his vocabulary is rich and his language flowery, on par with great beatnik or gonzo writers. Maybe he had some copyediting help, but I doubt given how eloquent and in control his narration performance is. I like to think he was just talented
