if you're tired of watching Die Hard for the 50th time this christmas season, may i recommend Tokyo Godfathers

a movie about three unhoused people who find a baby in the trash on christmas eve

directed by satoshi kon (perfect blue, paprika), who never missed

okay somewhat irrelevant to the timing of this but how would you rank this, pb, and paprika

the latter two have been on my to-watch list for awhile🤓

Paprika takes a bit more attention and mood to watch, Tokyo Godfathers is comforting and great for a lazy winter day.

confession: i haven’t watched Perfect Blue since i was a teenager and have zero recollection of it

i actually moved it to the top of my ‘to watch’ list after posting this lol

i like paprika more than tokyo godfathers BUT i find tokyo godfathers much more “rewatchable” because it’s  heartwarming and fun
