Also, funny you mention this. I just had a long chat last night about when the time I legally removed my name from the church.

I never wanted to because it felt like acknowledging their self proclaimed authority. It’s conflicting though because you know they are using people like me to inflate their numbers (their favorite pastime)

Inflating their numbers, that's a big part of why I made it official. And I didn't want my name tied to any of their problematic behavior. It gave me peace of mind, but I can totally understand not wanting to acknowledge their fake power.

I'm sure you know, but there is a very simple process through a non-profit legal team. You fill out their form, they submit on your behalf.
