Bee update. The nesting tubes are filling up! Each one will have 6-8 eggs, which will eventually hatch, become larvae, then pupae, which will build cocoons and transform Into next years’ bees. Check out at the little bees resting, waiting for it to warm up a bit more before doing their thing. 🐝

Love this. I have a bad personal relationship w bees. Been stung too many times and allergic. But I still love them and appreciate the keepers.

I have a healthy respect (and sometimes fear) of most animals and insects. Mason bees are pretty docile and in the 6-7 years I’ve been raising them, no one in my household has been stung, despite them being located in our backyard where we spend a lot of time, especially in the summers.
