the novel thing about it is that I’ve never built an app before and I have no idea what I’m doing 😅

I think the fact you can put great content up here and get tipped in a variety of currencies is already a pull enough for young folk (saying this as a 40+ yr old lmao)

I like the location idea, always wanted to tap on a city to see casts from the city for example.

is there anything novel about it? 

I sorta think that there needs to be a new primitive along with photo/video in order for a client/app to be interesting enough to young people 

Ephemeral or location specific features seem like the most obvious possibilities
