TBH the login and registration process is absolutely terrible on Farcaster due to fragmentation - each client handles it differently, it's a mess. I don't know if there are any plans for this, but the current state is horrible. Everyone else is better at this - Nostr, Bluesky and even Lens.

Warpcast onboarding is pretty good? No direct exposure to the underlying crypto if you're on iOS 17. There's a Sign in with Farcaster spec that's coming out soon.

Yes, the onboarding on Warpcast is good. My comment was more about other clients and cross-app login in general. I registered on @flink and I don't understand how I can use Warpcast instead - because warpcast on desktop won't let me log in with web3 wallet

This all stems from the @warpcast huge inconvenience of working with multiple accounts. That's why I was forced to use @flink, because my warpcast is logged into this personal profile. Warpcast login on desktop is dependent on mobile, and that can only handle one account. It's kind of a trap.

In short: Add Web3 login to @warpcast desktop/mobile (walletconnect?) as soon as possible and half the problems will be gone

+ Ideally: Add simple switcher of accounts like Twitter or Bluesky have. That would be fantastic.

it is useful to hear your feedback, because enjoyment of watching experiments take root may blind us to the UX costs of ecosystem diversity. - herocast handles account switching well - WC on newest iOS w/ passkeys allows account switching - discove, flink, opencast, farcord do Web3 login - FIP-10 is on its way
