I really enjoyed @dwr.ethās video AMA. He comes off much more down to earth and friendly on video than over text. š My thoughts: - There is a lot of talk about what will drive growth, but I think we should also consider things that might hinder growth as well. Videos for all might not drive a ton of growth - but not having them could hinder some meaningful growth. There are a lot of creators who work in video only. Will they ever give Warpcast a chance? - As a channel owner, itās a little disappointing to hear how quickly channels went from being a priority to an afterthought. Dan said, āThere are no channels that are the absolute best in their fieldā. But, how could there be when itās mostly a glorified hashtag at this point? For channels to possibly achieve this, they need a more robust framework. Either way, Iām thankful that heās taking the time to address our questions in a more robust format. Great move!

If videos take too long to upload theyāll never come here But if videos are improved it will definitely drive a lot of growth as nowadays all the content is in video format Channels are alright as they are if you ask me.. people just have to scroll them more and cast better content imho.

The video issue is that not everyone can cast them. Only established accounts can. New creators who work in video arenāt going waste time trying to get established here first. Channels are OK how they are. But they could be a lot better. We could use more customization options to differentiate channels. Right now /success and /degen-art look almost identical except for a small logo and channel description. We could also use an āexploreā tab for channels in the way we we have one for composer actions.

Well on that side, every channel looks the same except for the logo, name and description š Its whats inside that is different and is also what would make people explore channels more At the end of the day, i think Dan is kinda right.. its all about having good content and building new cool stuff to try out

Agreed. But content creators are extremely limited here is my point. You can't cast videos unless you're an established account, so any videographers or NFT artists that may be well known from other platforms aren't going to come here and try to get established again. That cuts off a lot of potentially good content right there. With channels, why would someone put time and effort into creating a space that is an afterthought for the protocol? Why not allow us to add some customization to channels. A top banner, maybe some subtopics. And the BIG ONE would be an explore tab so people can actually surface new channels instead of just sitting in their main feed.
