Re: dedegen and my position on the mod squad Dear @jacek, In season 6, you rolled out a new system you hadn't quite properly thought through. Last minute, you caved to the biggest whales. You told users to lock up their precious degen and receive an allowance to do what they want with. So they did. They opened up channels for "tip-for-tip" and "401k matching" (which you condoned). You misaligned incentives with the site's most active users, and now degen is being exploited by the people you bent the knee to. NOW, you have appointed a select group of people to clean up this mess with subjective standards and burdened us with the responsibility of deciding "what's right." If you want to unlock people's money and change the rules, fine. But I won't be a part of this. Sincerely, Burr

The fight against farmers is the #1 reason that degen has suffered so much and why we are where we are with it imo I still believe they should quit that fight (not winnable) and roll things back to the previous season just even as a start

If we let the farmers farm.. degen will die.. they’ll keep “earning” it and dumping it, slowly bringing it to zero.. Makes no sense to let them come and steal tokens they dont give a fuck about I agree i liked season 5 tho

That’s the problem here, when the OpenRank social score was dictating allo’s, farming was almost obsolete. Now we’re seeing (guessing here) 20-50% of the daily allowances being soaked up by farmers with rings / alts. That’s backwards from where we want to be. It’s gotten significantly worse, not better.

It’s clear to me that powerbadge users are predominantly farmers. They regularly participate in reciprocal tipping, but when presented with the opportunity to lock in DEGEN for allowances, I expect them to reap the highest rewards. After all, it seemed like a win-win situation, where they could retain part of their DEGEN to maximize their rewards. Instead, most of them choose to liquidate their DEGEN and continue farming, Non powerbadge users are actively staking and sharing DEGEN because people are engaging more now, but before most people don't follow or engage on non-power badge user In my opinion, this outcome is the most beneficial decision that could have been made thanks @jacek
