Oooh those are called “Naruto” and they’re a very common and famous ramen ingredient 

Fun fact, Naruto the anime was named after this ingredient. The main character of the anime is a hardcore ramen lover

Also, Naruto the character has on his stomach a mark that has the same shape of naruto the ingredient (the flower as you called it ahah)

Naruto is one of the best stories ever written and its not only for kids.. im 27 and i love storytelling, watched obsessively movies and read books since i was a kid

definitely suggest you to watch it with your son, it would make him so happy
