I love Moxie. But i hate the amount of ass-lickery that it brought with it I feel hesitant to reply to bigger accounts lately..

I get this take. But I legitimately admire a lot of what a few of the big accounts (linda, phil, and even v/dwr) are doing, so I haven't really changed my behavior. I do take a bit more time to think before replying than I did before, but imo that's not a particularly bad thing

I was a startup founder before, so I resonate with people building and shipping things. Bountycaster (Linda/Daniel) was the first web3 app that really caught my attention. I love how it compresses the cycle of "want work -> pay for it" and think it's still like 0.0001% of the size it can be. Also just have had enough interactions to think they're both wonderful people. I'm not an artist, but I resonate with Phil's approach to building, shipping, working hard, and exercising hard. I think he had one celebratory cast that ended with "Ok now back to work," which is very much my style. Dan/V are making Farcaster, which I've grown to love. Lego blocks like frames, cast actions, etc. are super fun to build on. I wouldn't dare to build a social network, so watching them try to pull this off on super-long timelines is inspiring. Dan also has great takes on the hard truths of building a company and V's technical engagement is great study for me.
