native digital Wallets (like iOS Wallet) have already established a mental model for users to see their phone as a container for cards or even keys (to a BMW or Home)

Webauthn seems like the closest thing to enabling this. Check out what wallets like glow.app are doing with touch ID to see how it would work.

Glow also has a native ios safari plugin which has been the best mobile UX I've seen for crypto.
