I think JD Vance is right on point on this. One of the reasons why we've seen stagnation since the 70s may as well be because of the offshoring of American manufacturing to China, Mexico or other developing countries. The signs for that are pretty clear in industries that didn't see much competition for decades but started to see competition recently. The most glaring example is car manufacturing. Tesla is finally able to upend old car makers and the innovation in the industry. Same with Space and SpaceX. We need to bring back manufacturing to the US if we want to see innovation back. Very hopeful that we start to see innovation back in the US

Icl It's great to see that there are already some positive trends emerging, such as the resurgence of US-based companies like Ford and General Motors investing in domestic manufacturing and R&D. Companies like Tesla and SpaceX are paving the way for a new era of innovation in the US too…. But idk…. don't you think that bringing manufacturing back to the US is easier said than done? lol
