I lived all my life in the chicago area, loved nature enough. I also spend weeks each year in Hawaii, my sister lives there, and that is a larger kind of appreciation of nature. Now I live in rural Wisconsin, and the quiet allows me to be even more present in nature. It simply fills my soul up, so grateful.

Yes, I better connected with myself, slowly, like untangling a knot. Little by little the load lightened because I gave less fucks about unimportant things. Focus was clearer, and life felt lighter. Gave me time to fill up space with who I am, instead of who I needed to be.
