I think the potential of "community tokens" is still largely untapped, but we've been thinking about them all wrong.

A community token is made valuable by the number of *individual people* who have found away to align their own work with token upside.  Each person might do this in a different way.

In aggregate, this means that community tokens represent a bet on the network of "aligned members."

Right now, we think "alignment" just means holding. It doesn't. 

A community token is only valuable if each member of the community views it as their personal token.

In the long run it still does just mean holding.

no, it also means creating some sort of mechanism where if people want to support you, they need to buy the community token

How can a token really be useful if it’s not a successful commodity, successful commodity= not only buys but sells, it now depends on if it has enough value for the buys to her power the sells.
