Hi all. I came to crypto not long ago.  But over the course of 6 months, I came across a lot of methods of fraud. And I'm glad that I gained experience by losing small amounts. I decided to write down the most common ways to cheat.

There are phishing applications that we can accidentally download from the app store or play market, thinking that it is an original application (f.e, an exchange). 4. Phishing project sites that can steal our credentials. It is better to access project sites through already known aggregators, for example through CoinMarketCap 👇

5. Fake distributions. Often in our wallet we can find coins worth 100-1000 dollars or more. If we try to exchange these coins, we may lose all the money in the wallet 👇

6. Fake accounts of famous personalities (for example, V. Buterin), where they gain subscribers. We go into such an account, see a message that a new coin will soon appear on the exchange, copy the contract address and buy this coin. The result is that we bought a coin that cannot be sold 👇

7. Various crypto channels in TG, where the author begins to write that he received insider information that the coin will soon be listed, gives the address of a smart contract for the purchase of this coin. In this case, only the author of the channel will earn money, and you will not sell the coins 👇

Don’t forget that the most important reason is our carelessness: we are in a hurry, go to unnecessary sites, and don’t check the links. In fact, we ourselves can prevent everything.

1. Clipper. In this way, we ourselves voluntarily send money to the scammer and do not even suspect it. A clipper is a malicious program that replaces some data on the clipboard with another. When you copy an address, for example from an exchange, be sure to check it 👇
