I guess he missed the part of the keynote where the dude was wearing it at work and walking around all the desks and interacting with people without taking it off. Then he walks over by his desk and the "home screen" icons appear. 

I've got a Quest Pro. Technically it has an "AR" mode, but the video quality is trash.
