What I’ve learnt is if you chase something generally you don’t get it. Relax and it comes to you eventually.

I’ve known this guy for the best part of 35 years, count him as a good friend, a collaborator (I helped him put together his live performance shows) and heard him DJ many a set. Sasha on 🔥: https://drakula.app/post/493c31a6-60dd-4262-861a-87878b728019?invite=T7fQjn

One for Oasis fans and for Emma Miller who’s been doing quite beautiful Oasis covers. I can’t see Emma singing about White lines so I am!

One for Oasis fans and Ms Emma Miller, who’s been doing amazing covers of Oasis songs. Did this one as I’m pretty sure Emma won’t be singing about doing white lines.: https://drakula.app/post/162c1efd-4153-46e0-aeb4-ad001cf98b38?invite=T7fQjn

I had a great conversation with Liam from the Prodigy once, where we were comparing how much amazing equipment we had bought over the years that we hadn’t actually turned on and used for a while!

SXSW was as always a totally sensory overload. Brilliant people, brilliant insight, brilliant music and brilliant food. Probably my favourite everything.

Onboarding artists is never the problem. What artist doesn’t like extra cash? It’s getting them to understand how they will need to onboard their fans, that’s the issue. Therefore get them to do stuff they’re doing already. The more we abstract the tech the easier it is.

I find instrumental music works best for focus. If I hear lyrics I start to dissect them

Seeing stars saying it’s about the fans is BS The biggest lie we tell ourselves is that we’re making music for others. By doing that you rely on that validation and when you don’t get it, it cripples you. Be your best and harshest critic, you know what you do and if you can’t, study and practice till you can.

This is why people love the old Moogs, Oberheims, etc. They drift in and out of tune due to the instability of analogue VCO’s is more human like. My theory is that our voices are never completely in tune so it draws upon that.
