Can Onchain ticketing replace ticketmaster?

I hope onchain ticketing disrupts ticketsmaster and cuts out the middlemen. Securing a ticket for a concert has become a major source of frustration for fans, fake tickets, tickets vanishing in seconds, service fees that often surpass the face value of the ticket, scalpers etc. I am conviced that onchain ticketing can solve the current issues in the ticketing industry.

In some cases, these fees can add a significant percentage to the ticket price, making concerts and events unaffordable for many fans

This leaves genuine fans with few options but to pay significantly higher prices to attend events, which adds to the widespread dissatisfaction with the platform.Undercover Journalist showed in a documentary that ticketmaster developed secret  “scalper” tools to resell tickets at high mark ups.

Ticketmaster is just a middleman that has been extracting value from fans and musicians for too long. They have been getting away with it for too long. 

I hope the DoJ wins the anti-trust lawsuit and split up the tiketing part of the business from the venues

I really hope so. As an avid concert goer for the past 20 years, the fees and monopoly has really gotten out of concern.

The run is that ticket master now owns many of the venues nationwide.
