Last week of classes is about to begin where I teach and things are hectic. Extremely proud of the graduate students we work with who have had the most amazing MFA exhibitions (installation pictured). Nervous about how various final projects will or will not resolve themselves. Emotional time for everyone.

When you make a .glb object, lighting settings vary greatly depending on what program/platform you are viewing it on. It can look one way in Blender, but have very different tone/lighting when viewed on various online platforms. Frustrating if you are trying to preserve specific color/lighting settings. Any solutions?

I really enjoy the process of Photogrammetry, using a set of photographs (in this case 150 of them) to stitch together a 3D model in software. This opens up very high-quality scanning to anyone with a camera and patience, and is an accessible alternative to prohibitively expensive 3D scanning hardware.

1 minute of process, a mix of hand-made automation and making by hand, if that makes sense.

Once my friend and I snuck out of our school. We weren't sure what to do next. We went to a nearby pond. We fed some ducks bread from our lunches. Next, we snuck back into school. No one ever found out.

Bumper sticker from "Super Mud '74". Super Mud was a Ceramics gathering that was definitely not a typical academic conference. More of a clay-specific mini-Woodstock, from what I'm told. This sticker is holding up well after 50 years on a studio wall.
