the intuition behind Newton’s and Einstein’s breakthroughs all involved embodied experiences:

—gravity: newton and an apple falling (with a thud)
—special relativity: imagining what it’s like to ride alongside a light-beam
—general relativity: imagining that being in an accelerating elevator in space and gravity are indistinguishable sensations

I think understanding creativity is the precursor. What you've described is creativity. How to create something that in turn can create?

Embodiment might be necessary. So far the only thing that can do it (that we know of) is the human brain. Is there something essential in its structure?
