Rejecting hustle culture pressure in creative work is an ongoing challenge. There are so many subtle, low-level ways it can sneak up on you and interfere, even in the face of a conscious commitment to a slowcore approach. Writing longhand on paper helps for me, too, and I think the slower pace is part of that.
