Slowcore HQ

When life gets busy, I have to remind myself to just go slow. Usually this means subtracting activities (like casting).

But I'm moving into a quieter season season shortly and look forward to more time spent here.

A glimpse of what my days are like while I'm staying with my mother to help with responsibilities surrounding the funeral and aftermath:

- Attending meetings with lawyer. Taking detailed notes about successor trustee duties, priority rankings for administrative tasks, etc.
- Joining calls with Schwab (broker). Taking detailed notes.
- Editing and organizing notes for myself and family.
- Helping with decision-making, housecleaning, grocery shopping, health maintenance needs, task-list tracking, and grief-witnessing.
- Projects: sorting and cleaning out belongings of the deceased, serving as "tech advisor" for random issues as they arise, etc.

Exhausting, but I'm glad I'm able to handle it.

Also mailed in my absentee ballot and cast my vote for Kamala Harris.

And this weekend I'll be attending the first Farcaster IRL meetup in Honolulu.

Looking forward to your upcoming quieter season. :)
