I agree the basic story is really interesting and relevant. Unfortunately, the dialog is lazy and the characters are one dimensional. I find it painful to watch. I've watched the Clone Wars, and I think it's infinitely superior to the prequels, especially the last two seasons. The Bad Batch is also very good. Andor puts them all to shame, though.

I think they are a great allegory for the rise of fascism and I saw the prequels before the OG trilogy so maybe that’s why I’m biased?

If you have the prequels you should at least give The Clone Wars series a chance. It’s worth the watch
