Is there a technical challenge to adding pinned casts on profiles, or was there a decision not to add it for some sort of usability reason? I would have assumed pinning on profiles is no harder to add than pinning on channels.

Channels are a priority. User profiles are not.

That would go a bit against general UX no? Users drive and run the channels…But do agree that features like pinning might be less important in the bigger picture.

Everyone I've seen seems to want profile pinning more than channel pinning, but maybe I'm not asking the right people.

It’s about the current priority — “make channels useful” when we shipped that feature. Adding to user profiles is easy. Just not focused.

What if, you have best of both worlds? If you own a channel you could pin a post from that channel to your profile?
