The tipping $degen mechanism on FC is nothing more than "trickle-up economics".. All value goes up the pyramid, to the people above you.

Haha, you prove my point exactly. There is literally nothing in it for simple proles like me.. so I just sold my $degen. It's won't cover the loss, but hey, there are so many other project that do better, at this moment, even in these wintry economic climate... ;)

Hey totally fine for you to recognize it’s not the kind of value you want!🤷 I think they DO however create an interesting value proposition over traditional methods of patronage, monthly subscription / tipping the ‘real’ way. So I think there’s a way for a person like me, who yes I would like to climb the top and become more influential ofc, but also I want to support my fellow creator community too and @microsub has been phenomenal for me to direct degen value flows to my frens. But yes like you I don’t see it as any kind of valuable investment with returns, it’s purely for enjoyment and supporting others, not yourself but if number go up then that’s a great bonus
