Can kindness be promoted with a coin? 🤔 (Any reference to Degen is purely coincidental...) An experiment in real life has proven that it is possible! Ruwen Ogien tells about it in "Human Kindness and the Smell of Warm Croissants". More in comments 👇

The experiment observed people using a phone booth (many years ago!) rigged to sometimes return a $1 coin after the call. Upon exiting, a passerby (an actor) drops a folder full of documents. Surprisingly, 87,5% of those who found the coin help the passerby, while only 4% of those who didn't find the coin do!

So, yeah... sometimes a coin is worth much more than we think! Btw, the book is full of interesting problems base don ethics, as you can see on the weird Italian cover 😆
