How do I, as someone who's been onchain for the what seems like an eternity, switch up my job in projects and education to crypto work? I'm not quite boomer but I gotta keep the fam well and not sure how to reframe myself in this regard. Any guidance greatly appreciated.

If you love crypto, no need to become a developer. I would actually advise against becoming a developer at all, roles will continue becoming extinct at lower skill levels (AI). Instead, learn how to understand SCs, use AI to interact with code/test them in IDEs, and learn to communicate complexity simply/authentically.

Now this guidance I like. So ready SCs and understand it is key. Still a learning curve but can call it language learning and I'll be happier to jump on board. Communicating complexity with simplicity is partially already in my wheelhouse so that's a good thing too. What's the best start point for SC understanding?

LLMs: just ask for a smart contract and ask it to recommend different types to contrast and compare ie ledgers, app logic, chain code etc, then start asking questions for each until you have a grasp.
