One of the worst feelings in life: when you’re in your early 20s with no money, you bring your car in for service & the mechanic is telling you all the things it needs so you’re doing mental math trying to figure out how tf you can afford all that but you need your car for work. (Random bit of negative nostalgia.)

to add to that, the uncertainty of the stereotypical mechanic ripping you off is there (at least in the US) i just do everything i can myself now but the entire plan of forcing everybody to buy a heftily depreciating sporadically used CAR that requires tons of maintenance is so bad. public transit FTW 🦄🦄🥱
