there are ppl with less than 5k followers on fc earning more from the content and attention they bring to the network than ppl with 500k followers on the other app

incentives are better aligned here for 99% of creators, simple as that

I think the worst of it is it slammed the door on random funny or dumb comments that were never intended to have replies or maybe even likes.  Removing that whole genre of posting from a social media site is really noticeable… the fact it’s out of fear of getting tip banned is a little heartbreaking.

yeah i def see a lot of this too, yet at the same time i see a lot of awesome convos happening, hard to tell lasting effect rn imo
