random prediction and potentially hot take: in years (exact timeline idk), elon will sell tesla’s car/truck unit to a US automobile co so he can focus tesla exclusively on batteries and energy

Its going to happen a LOT faster than years i suspect. The american power grid cant even handle a hot day, we need a battery in every house before we can have electric cars.

i’m surprised more people aren’t concerned about the power grid most coastal elites aren’t affected by it but there are places in Texas that have to go days without electricity, so bad, why isn’t it a bigger deal

I dont think people have any understanding about electricity. it just comes out of the wall. Biden wants 50% of cars sold in america to be electric by 2030, each car adds about 30% to the power consumption of a house. no new significant power plants are being built and facebook just announced its making an ai data center that is going to need two nuclear power plants. (x, tesla, google, openai etc each all have the same power needs) the math isnt mathing.
