This is generally how I use Farcaster because I enjoy the communities. But seeing it framed as “to help Farcaster grow” brings up feelings of: well I’m contributing content but what am I getting out of it? Followers that I plan to monetize? Not really my style. Neither is adding value for free.

Not asking for a solution, just perspective, because I know monetizing is the end game. But what’s in it for people like me who don’t care to do that? Lack of incentive demotivates me from posting more because I end up feeling like it’s pointless. I don’t use social media much otherwise either so I don’t get the highs from likes and engagement.

I get that as Farcaster grows, more opportunities blah blah blah. But I’m putting my personal life out here and as a private person it doesn’t always feel worth it. I guess social media just isn’t for me. 😅

Posting high quality content = grow your audience

what are your current favorite channels for the best content on the platform? (anything content,.. art, code, crypto, food etc.. )

I am a maker. I communicate through photos. Also do metal casting, 3d prints,
AI, robotics and mashups of all of these things.

are new users directed to good or relevant channels?  when i search for things, a lot of the time real dead channels pop up (with one or two members) before well established very large channels.  the sorting of results seems way off.
