mansions are cringe, why would you want a house when you could have more tokens instead?

Been in Aspen for a week and its insane.  Dozens of short term 30 day rentals for $100,000 a month and hundreds and hundreds of 12+ bedrooms sitting empty most of the year.

Imagine if you couldn't own a home or apt unless you lived in it more than half the year. And no corporate ownership.

This is so true. One of the reasons certain locales I know of have restrictions on foreign owners etc, as you end up with ghost areas with huge travel impacts for such short periods of time.

Ofc also tough when you're looking to buy as a non-local & can only look in specific ski-adjacent areas as well 😂
