it so far birthed a generation of millionaires* that didn’t have to do any meaningful work or be particularly useful to others in order to get wealthy, which is the strongest measure of value

I do agree with that for the most part but I have also seen that the people that make crazy money in crypto are exceptionally smart and usually go on to create some truly incredible things with that instant wealth, but there are also that are far louder and get way more attention that fall into your classification.
